Parental Rights
Your family. Your values. Your child. But somewhere along the way, Santa Ana schools started making decisions about your kids without telling you. Counseling your child was placed in without your knowledge. Library books you'd never approve. Curriculum you never agreed to. Alejandra believes the answer to 'who gets to raise your child?' should always be you. She'll fight to restore full parental notification, real opt-out rights, and a district that answers to families, not the other way around.
Our Core Pillars
We are dedicated to building a school district that serves Santa Ana's families with integrity, excellence, and fiscal prudence.
Academic Excellence
Parents deserve a straight answer: are our kids actually learning? Not just passing. Not just moving on to the next grade. Learning. Alejandra's commitment to academic excellence starts with holding schools accountable to that question, and building the conditions, resources, and leadership that make the answer 'yes.'
Fiscal Responsibility
SAUSD's budget has more than doubled in ten years, from $432 million in 2014 to $913 million in 2025. That's a 111% increase. So why are class sizes growing? Why are Santa Ana students falling further behind in math and reading, not catching up? The money is there. The results aren't. Alejandra believes every family in this district deserves an honest answer to one question: where is the money going? She'll demand full budget transparency, accountability for outcomes, and a district that proves every dollar is reaching the classroom, not disappearing into administration.
About Alejandra
I grew up in Santa Ana. I sat in these classrooms, walked these neighborhoods, and built my life here. This community isn't a talking point for me, it's home.
As a mother with children in SAUSD and a Parks and Recreation Commissioner, I've spent years listening to families in this community. What I hear is frustration. Parents who feel left out of decisions being made about their own kids. Families watching the district's budget balloon while their children fall further behind. A growing sense that the people running our schools have lost sight of who they're supposed to serve. That frustration is what brought me to this race.
I'm not a politician looking for a next step. I'm a Santa Ana parent who believes our kids deserve better, and I'm done waiting for someone else to say it.
